Get To Know Holly P

Q: What are you most thankful for?

A: I must state the most obvious answer, Jesus! I cannot imagine life without His peace, strength and grace that I receive on a DAILY basis!

The SECOND thing I am most thankful for is my husband! I feel so lucky to live life with my best friend.

He is always making me laugh, he is a constant source of encouragement, he listens to me and always pushes me to do things I am scared to do - like, starting a website! Eeeeek!

Q: What's on your bucket list?

A: Hmmm...I don't have an official bucket list, but I love adventure and always jump at an opportunity to do something I have never done before.

Some things I would like to do are:

  • Sky dive

  • Visit all 50 States

  • Travel to every continent

That’s all I can think of at the moment. I will add, every year I make one of my “New Year’s Resolutions” to visit at least one new city and/or country every year.

Thankfully, my husband and I BOTH love to travel. Anything involving traveling makes me happy.

Q: What is your favorite book or movie of all time and why did it speak to you so much?

A: Don't laugh, but the movie, Ever After.

I haven’t seen it in years, but it was my favorite movie growing up because it was one of the FEW exceptions my parents made regarding our "G-rated" only movie rule. I love the rags to riches Cinderella story where an ordinary girl gets plucked from obscurity and married into royalty.

In addition, she gets justice for all the years she was mistreated. I think in many ways this parallels our walk with God because on this earth we are called to serve and sometimes even get mistreated. However, one day we will be in heaven sitting as royalty. Children of THE King.

Q: If you could change something in the world, what would it be?

A: If I could change something in the world, it would be to change it back to the Garden of Eden, the perfect place that was created for us and the place where everything and everyone was in perfect harmony

You know, the time where talking to animals was NORMAL and we could hang out with Lions & Tigers and bears, oh my.... If you are referring to a more micro change, I would say where we could eat as much Ben & Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk that we wanted, but not get sick!

Q: What do you feel passionate about?

A: Faith! BIG Faith! Faith Faith Faith!

I believe that BIG faith in an even BIGGER God makes the impossible possible.

2016 was the year I started giving myself a word of the year and FAITH was the word I chose. It was the year I met my husband and meeting him made me feel like the impossible was indeed possible.

Q: What job would you be terrible at?

A: Trashman. I detest taking out the trash and procrastinate as LONG as possible till not another piece of trash can be put into the trash can.

Even as a young kid at home, my room would be clean, but my trashcan would be stacked up as high as possible. My mom was constantly getting on to me about taking out the trash.

Before I got married, I negotiated with my husband that he would be the designated person for the job. My designated job is changing the bed sheets.

Q: What is one thing you want people to know about you?

A: I dream BIG!

Which ties back to my passion about FAITH.

You cannot soar higher than what you believe you deserve or higher than what you believe or THINK you are capable of accomplishing. Whatever you BELIEVE about yourself will be your limitations.

Never put a limit on what God can do through you! DREAM BIG!
